Family Yoga

Family yoga is all about connecting with your child through movement and breathing. It provides a way for you to role model playfulness, mindfulness and giving things a go. 

Certified Rainbow Kids Yoga instructor, trained ECE and primary teacher Jasmine Gow offers a weekly yoga playgroup and family yoga for preschoolers and school age children and their parents.

Classes are hosted upstairs at 5B Kingsford Smith Drive, Rangiora

Yoga playgroup is a new offering now I have my son. Come along and enjoy yoga with your baby while meeting like-minded parents. This is a casual class in which I share a variety of ways to connect with your baby while practicing yoga. Make time for you.
Half an hour of yoga and breathing, followed by play, conversation and a cup of tea

Family yoga for preschoolers

Thursdays 3:30pm, Term 3
30 minute sessions packed with playful yoga, songs, storytelling and relaxation. We'll practice memorable sequences designed to energise or relax. Littlies gain confidence moving their bodies and develop an awareness of their breathing and feelings. Parents learn poses and breathing techniques to support their child with various emotions. A cheerful class for parent and child to bond while exploring yoga together.

Sunday Funday Family Yoga 5+

Alternate Sunday’s in term time
Starts 26th July, 2:15pm
45 minute one-off sessions designed to bring families together through movement and breathing. A time for parents and children to play and challenge themselves with partner and group poses, as well as an opportunity to interact with like minded families. These sessions take families on a yoga journey centred around a theme and go from high energy silliness (be prepared to act like a monkey) to calm stillness and relaxation. 

$15 per family, per class or $60 for 5 sessions

FAQ

What should we bring to the session? 

Please bring a drink bottle and a yoga mat if you have one (there will be a limited amount of spares available). Wear comfy clothing that is easy to move in. Preschoolers please bring a favourite soft toy.
