Each session has a central concept, such as confidence or compassion or theme like a trip to the beach, with corresponding yoga poses, sequences and unique games.
Relevant books may be shared, and children can share their own stories.
Imagination is fostered and celebrated as children express their creativity through a variety of games and activities.
They’ll have the opportunity to practice leadership and create co-operatively with their peers.
Positive, empowering music is played throughout and aids in the structure of the class from active to flowing to contemplative to relaxing.
Dance is incorporated into many of the sessions to warm up and connect.
At the end of each session the pace slows as we turn our attention to breathing and being present.
This is a time to release tension and learn techniques that can be used throughout life to calm or focus the mind.
